Today, the grand opening ceremony of the XI Tashkent International Biennale of Contemporary Art themed "Event Horizon" took place at the Central Exhibition Hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. Akmal Nuridinov, Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and People's Artist of Uzbekistan, delivered an opening address, welcoming the participants and officially opening the international event.

Bringing together more than 70 foreign artists from 29 countries alongside numerous local creators, this year's biennale serves as a key international platform for various directions of contemporary art, creative exploration, and intercultural dialogue. The event program includes exhibitions, presentations of art albums and books, masterclasses, and international scientific-practical conferences.

The leadership, staff, faculty, and students of the Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Fine Arts and Design actively participated in the grand opening ceremony. This international event holds special significance for the institute community in terms of exploring new trends in contemporary art, studying the experience of foreign artists, and expanding international creative networks.

As a reminder, events within the framework of the Biennale will continue at our institute. Specifically, a lecture by the renowned Indian artist Ajitvar Kumar is scheduled to take place at our institute on October 16 this year. During the meeting, students and art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into Indian fine arts and study the artist's creative approach and expertise.
