Important events are being held at Termez State University as part of an educational and practical seminar and sports week organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations and the Ministry of Sports with the participation of rectors of all higher educational institutions in our Republic. Omonulla Salikhov, rector of the Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Art and Design, is also actively participating in these processes.

In particular, today a mass walking marathon was organized under the slogan “Ten Thousand Steps for a Healthy Life”, in which heads of higher educational institutions, professors, researchers and students participated under the leadership of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations Kungirotboy Sharipov.

Also, the Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov and the Khokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Qosimov participated in the seminar, which was held to ensure the implementation of the priority tasks set at the videoconference meeting chaired by the President on April 7, 2026, and discussed the issues of integrating physical education and sports with the higher education system, forming a healthy lifestyle among students, and developing sports infrastructure.

In addition, within the framework of the seminar, they got acquainted with the university's sports clubs, modern infrastructure, sports medicine, and training processes based on the "Termez experience". These advanced approaches will serve to develop sports in the higher education system and widely introduce effective experiences at the republican level.

This forum is of great importance in promoting a healthy lifestyle in the higher education system, popularizing sports, and strengthening the exchange of experiences between universities.
