The “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” sports competitions, which have recently started in all universities of our Republic, were launched with a grand opening ceremony at the National Institute of Art and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod.

Ravshan Yunusov, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Affairs, attended the event and delivered a speech. He spoke about the importance of this Olympiad and its intended goal, calling on all students to actively participate in the competitions.

It was emphasized that raising the younger generation in a healthy and harmonious way is one of the priority areas in our country's policy. At the same time, it was noted that this Olympiad will further increase interest in sports and a healthy lifestyle not only among students, but also among the general public.

This competition serves to develop mass sports among students, create appropriate conditions for them, and widely spread a healthy lifestyle. We are also confident that this initiative will unite millions of young people in the future, - said Ravshan Yunusov, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Affairs, in his speech.

For your information, all stages of the competitions are controlled through the unified electronic management system of the Ministry of Sports "ERP-sport". Currently, competitions in Volleyball, Handball, Streetball, Table Tennis, Football, Athletics and Swimming have started at our institute. The competitions will be held in 3 stages:

1st stage: April 6–20;

2nd stage: May 1–15;

Final stage: June 1–10 in the Olympic Village in Tashkent.
