In connection with the significant occasion of the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the “Rector’s Cup” sports competition was organized today at the National Institute of Fine Arts and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod among young people from the mahallas of Mirabad District. Nearly 100 active young people from more than 20 mahallas took part in the competitions in chess and table tennis, competing against one another and demonstrating their skills. The intense competition once again demonstrated the young participants’ interest in sports, logical thinking, and their aspiration to achieve victory. The winners and prize-winners who achieved high results and demonstrated agility were awarded diplomas, cups, and commemorative gifts by the institute’s administration. Such sporting events are regularly held at the institute in cooperation with mahallas in order to organize young people’s free time meaningfully, strengthen friendly relations, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
