At the beginning of the meeting, Rector of the Institute Omonulla Salikhov congratulated all Council members on the 35th anniversary of the independence of our country and, in accordance with tradition, presented certificates to teachers who had recently received academic titles and degrees. Following this, the Council considered the following items on the agenda: approval of the institute’s plan of festive events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan; approval of the curriculum, teaching workload of faculty members at the departments, and the academic process schedule for the 2026/2027 academic year; approval of the draft “Procedure for Recognition of Earned Credits and Completion of Identified Academic Differences for Students Transferred, Reinstated, and Returning from Academic Mobility” developed at the institute; approval of the results of the redistribution of students’ educational grants for the 2026/2027 academic year carried out by the Special Commission; merger of the institute’s Department of Practical Decorative Arts with the Department of Artistic Ceramics and Restoration; transfer of the social science subjects assigned to the Department of Social Sciences and Informatics to the Department of Uzbek and Foreign Languages, as well as renaming the departments; establishment of a Creative Workshop in Historical Genre under the Department of Monumental Painting; approval of the Institute’s “Strategy for Organizing Inclusive Education for 2026–2030”; sending the institute’s first-year PhD student M. Omonova to Peking University for short-term study to participate in the project “Training Doctoral Students through China’s Cooperation with Foreign Countries”; conducting a competitive selection of candidates among the faculty members working at the institute’s departments, as well as various other important issues
