At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector of the institute, Omonulla Salikhov, presented a report to the Council members on the work carried out in May 2026. Furthermore, in accordance with the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On awarding a group of employees in the fields of culture, art, and literature," the distinguished members of our institute were honored and sincerely congratulated before the Council. These included: Mr. Mavzur Mansurovich Makhmudov, artist and Associate Professor of the "Theatre Decoration Painting" department, who was awarded the honorary title of "People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan"; Mr. Djavlyat Yusupovich Umarbekov, artist and Professor of the "Easel Painting" department, who was awarded the Order of "Fidokorona Xizmatlari Uchun" (For Selfless Service); and Mr. Shokhrukh Alisher ugli Rakhimov, ceramicist and 1st-year Master's student at the Faculty of Art History and Applied Arts, who was awarded the "Shuhrat" (Glory) medal.
Following this, within the framework of the Council meeting agenda, the following matters were reviewed:

The work completed during the current academic year to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 8 dated January 8, 2021, "On further improving the activities and strengthening the material-technical base of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod";

Submission of the institute's substantiated proposals regarding admission quotas for training PhD students, doctoral candidates, and independent researchers funded by the state budget to the Innovation Development Agency under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations;

Approval of dissertation topics, scientific supervisors, and theoretical-methodological programs of independent researchers (PhD) admitted for the 2nd quarter of 2026, as well as modifications to the dissertation topics of the institute's 2nd-year PhD students;

Recommendation of graduating students who achieved "excellent" grades in all subjects during the 2025/2026 academic year for diplomas with honors (cum laude);

Approval of the structure of the Admissions Committee for enrolling applicants for the 2026/2027 academic year;

Recommendation of candidates from the institute's faculty for the academic title of Associate Professor, along with other similar important issues.
