February 11 — International Women in Science Day has been celebrated since 2016 in accordance with the resolution of the UN General Assembly. This date is aimed at realizing the potential of women and girls in science and ensuring their equal participation in scientific activities.
In connection with this date, today our institute organized a scientific and educational event dedicated to further supporting women scientists. The event was opened by the rector of our institute, Omonulla Salikhov, in his speech, recognizing the important role and scientific activities of women in the development of art and science.
Also participating in the event were Academician of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Arts, Professor Akilova Kamola Baltabayevna, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine "Art" Binafsha Nodir, Professor of Leiden University in the Netherlands Paskaleva Elena, and Professor Shomurotova Nigora Nabijonovna, who spoke in their reports about the scientific potential, creative thinking, and influence of modern women scientists in the international scientific community.
Such events are important in supporting women's activity in science and art and developing scientific cooperation.
