The faculty and talented students of our institute actively participated in the presentation of the English edition of the book “Miniature Painting in Uzbekistan / O’zbekistonda miniatyura san’ati” at the Fine Arts Gallery of Uzbekistan. The book was prepared by Dinara & Co. Publishing House and promotes the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan on an international scale. The author is Doctor of Literature (PhD) Rolando Montecalvo (University of California, Berkeley, USA).

The event was opened by Academician of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Art History, Professor Kamola Akilova, during which opinions were expressed on articles dedicated to the work of representatives of modern Uzbek miniature art Davlat Toshev, Academician Nizomiy Kholmatov and young artist Sherzod Ariboyev.

This event was of great importance for our students and faculty studying art history and fine arts.
