The conference was moderated by Dilafruz Kurbanova, the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations of our institute. It was attended by Omonulla Salikhov, Rector of the Institute; Kamola Akilova, Academician of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and Doctor of Art History; Professor Badrul Isa, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Entrepreneurship at MARA University of Technology; Abdurakhim Abdurakhmanov, Director General of the "Keng Makon" furniture factory; Omar Mansoor Sheyh, designer and Director of "OM Couture" in London; Kartbayeva Jaynagul Janshayevna, Dean of the K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, as well as foreign and local professors, researchers, and students.
Rector Omonulla Salikhov opened the event with welcoming remarks. During the event, leading experts, professors, and practicing designers from Uzbekistan and abroad shared their views on the integration of design education and production, modern technologies, innovative approaches, and the modern interpretation of national design.
The focus of the conference was on pressing issues such as the development of design education, its close connection with production, the implementation of interactive teaching methods, the effective use of digital technologies, and ensuring the harmony of education and practice.
Within the framework of the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the leadership of our institute and the "Keng Makon" furniture factory. Agreements were reached on mutual exchange of experience, organizing internships for students, developing joint projects, and creating modern and innovative products in the field of design.
At the end of the conference, active participants were awarded certificates, and a group commemorative photo was taken.
This conference will serve to further improve design education, widely introduce innovative approaches, and strengthen the cooperation between education and industry.
